WE EXIST TO MAGNIFY JESUS, BY MAKING DISCIPLES AND MULTIPLYING CHURCHES
who is eternally existent in three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit—each of whom possesses equally all the attributes of deity.
the eternal, pre-existent second person of the Trinity, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, and is fully God, but became fully man to save a lost world. We believe that he was crucified and three days later rose from the grave. He ascended into heaven, and will one day return again.
the eternal third person of the Trinity, who permanently indwells in every believer upon their faith in Jesus Christ.
is the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by the Holy Spirit to write the very words of Scripture. Therefore, we believe the Bible is without error, and is the final authority of faith and practice.
as the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The members of the church are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving Him and making Him known to a lost world.
and although God designed us to have fellowship with Him, we became alienated from God through disobedience. As a result, all human beings are born with a sinful nature and choose to sin against God. We are incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through our own efforts.
which is spent in one of two places: eternally separated from God because of sin or in union with God because of His forgiveness and salvation. When we die, we will either spend eternity in heaven or hell. Eternal separation from God happens in hell. Eternal union with God occurs in heaven.
God's gift to you if you'll accept it. We can never make up for our sin with self-improvement or good works. It is only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God's offer of forgiveness that you can be saved from sin's penalty. Eternal life begins the moment you receive Jesus Christ into your life by faith.
In order to have a relationship with God and an eternal home in Heaven, we must stop trusting ourselves, our works, and our religions, and place our full trust in Jesus Christ alone for the forgiveness of our sin and eternal life. In Romans 10:13 the Bible says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
That is a promise directly from God that if you will pray to Him, confess that you are a sinner, ask Him to forgive your sins, and turn to Him alone to be your Saviour; He promises to save you and give you the gift of eternal life.
At Cornerstone Baptist Church, we believe that every life stage provides a unique opportunity for growth. We all grow in different ways and at different paces. From the nursery to the golden years of life, God has a purpose and a journey for each of us to enjoy. As we minister to every age group the methods may vary, but the message is the same: “God can!” Let’s grow together!
Our church nursery provides a safe, loving, and nurturing environment for infants and toddlers during services. Caring volunteers offer supervision, playtime, and comfort so parents can fully participate in worship. We strive to make every child feel secure and every family feel supported.
We offer a fun, safe, and Christ-centered environment where children can learn, grow, and build friendships. Through age-appropriate lessons, activities, and worship, our caring team helps kids discover God’s love while parents enjoy the service with peace of mind.
Our youth ministry provides a welcoming space for students to grow in faith, build lasting friendships, and serve others. Through Bible study, worship, and engaging activities, we encourage teens to deepen their relationship with Christ and live out their faith in everyday life.
The Mexico Missions Special Support Fund assists pastoral Bible college students in Mexico by supplementing a portion of their college costs to encourage them to complete their schooling. These pastoral students are recommended by their school’s administration, provide a salvation testimony and detailed call to ministry prior to receiving financial support. Once a student is approved, financial support is continued until he graduates. Eighteen pastoral students have graduated and are serving in ministry as of Spring of 2021!
